She was an american marine biologists and science writer. she wrote many books that reflect her lifelong interest in the life of the seas and the seashores. she wrote THE SEA AROUND US (1951) and SILENT SPRING (1962). She also talks about pesticides piosons the food supply of animals and kills many birds and fish. she worked for the United States Fish and Wildlife Service for most of her adult life. I encourage you to read some more about rachel louise carson and find out more about her and try to find some books that she wrote and see how her life went and compare it to yours and notice how different they are and alike they are and see if you can go for any goals that she went for and see if you make them goals and watch how you strive through to make them goals and see how she strived and I am thinking that she would have strived much harder than you because she was actually really trying to make them goals whereas you were just doing them because Itold you to. But I am wishing you luck whereas she probally did not need any look for her goals and she just went strait for them and told herself that she could do it no matter what happened she was going to reach that goal because she had promised that to herself and she was not going to break a promise to herself because that was like lying to the God that she believed in. RACHEL CARSON (THE SCIENTIST) Rachel Carson was born in Springdale, Pennsylvania, on May 27, 1907. She was an American marine biologist and science writer who worked much of her adult life for the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. Her book, The Sea Around Us, (1951) reflects her lifelong interest in the ocean. In this book she combined the accuracy of a scientist with the imagination of a storyteller and produced a fascinating and informative description of the sea that is extremely popular with young readers as well as with adults. IN 1962 her book, Silent Spring, touched off an international controversy over the effects of pesticides. She warned that insecticides upset the balance of nature by destroying the food supply of birds and fish. Miss Carson was one of the foremost fighters for the preservation of our natural environment. In it he talks about her struggle writing her book Silent Spring while sick and her determination to create an awareness about pesticides.
